Sabrina is an Analyst on the Investment Team at Point72 Ventures, focused on growth-stage investments.

Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Sabrina was an Investment Banking Analyst at Scotiabank, where she helped companies grow through debt and equity financing and mergers and acquisitions. During her time at the firm, she was passionate about building communities internally and externally through various committees such as the Scotiabank Women Initiative and the Junior Leadership Committee.

Before her investment banking career, Sabrina was a Venture Student Analyst with the Creative Destruction Lab, where she contributed to Vancouver’s vibrant entrepreneurial scene by aiding startups with their go-to-market strategies. She received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in 2022.

I believe success requires adaptability and being comfortable with the unknown.

I draw a lot of inspiration from the great pivot stories of companies like Netflix, YouTube, and Slack. This mindset has taken me from Kenya where I taught entrepreneurship in the township of Kibera, to Victoria where I founded an internal podcast series for the pension fund, BCI, at the onset of the pandemic, and to the bustling entrepreneurial ecosystem in Vancouver at the Creative Destruction Lab.

I’m incredibly impact-driven.

Beyond my volunteer work, I find immense joy in unveiling a growth-stage venture’s story through its financials. I’m excited when I can help accelerate a company’s product-market fit, extending its positive reach to more businesses and individuals.

My bucket list spans the globe.

I hope to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, teach English in a monastery in Nepal, and travel to all seven continents (I only have Australia and Antarctica left!).

Small talk cheat sheet:

Traveling, tennis (#1 Federer fan), pivot stories, and learning anything new!
