Innovation is happening everywhere, all the time, and all at once
Just when we think markets are saturated or dominated by existing players, entrepreneurs with bold ideas launch new initiatives to bring society forward. I love having the opportunity to share that vision with founders early on in their journey and be a resource and partner.
I believe branding is everything
I have always had a genuine love for consumer businesses. Aside from interacting with these companies on a daily basis, I feel that consumer as a category is different than any other because of one factor: the brand. While hard to quantify, brands are the souls of companies and I have always been fascinated by businesses that win and capture markets based on branding.
The most important part of my research process is quantifying demand
Ensuring that there is a real problem or desire for the solution being offered can make or break an investment opportunity. Demand is something that should be measurable early on and is the fuel of any successful venture.
