Adam Carson is a Partner on the Investment team at Point72 Ventures, focused on fintech and crypto investments.

Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Adam held positions at Morgan Stanley, Bain & Company, and eBay. Most recently, he was the Head of Digital/FinTech Strategy and Partnerships at JPMorgan Chase. 

I caught the internet bug early.

From web 1.0 to web 2.0 to the emerging web 3.0, I grew up with the internet and have always believed in the transformational power of digital. I’m an early adopter and love to try new technologies, so I approach investing from the perspective of a customer.   

I’ve watched fintech grow and mature over the past decade.

While at Chase and now with Point72 Ventures, I’ve experienced firsthand the evolution of the fintech ecosystem, from the disruptors to the enablers and now the developer platforms. I love meeting entrepreneurs who are building fintech companies, and working closely with the companies in our portfolio on their product and go-to-market strategies. 

If I wasn’t doing this, I’d like to build and run my own startup.

I’ve had so many ideas over the years…I would just need the ability to commit to one of them!
