Pete Casella leads Point72 Ventures investment activities in financial services related technologies. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Point72 to build the Venture Capital business, Pete spent 13 years specializing in fintech venture capital for JPMorgan Chase Strategic Investments, Credit Suisse Principal Investments, and FTV Capital.
Pete started his career in Investment Banking at JPMorgan, followed by Corporate Strategy for JPMorgan Asset Management.
Pete earned a BS from Indiana University.
Tripp Shriner is a Partner focused on financial services investments for Point72 Ventures, working from our New York and Connecticut offices.
Tripp joined Point72 from City Light Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he was a Principal. Before City Light, he worked in J.P. Morgan’s Strategic Investments group, responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing early and growth-stage venture capital investments in financial technology businesses. Tripp began his career working for J.P. Morgan in the Investment Bank’s Equity Capital Markets group.
Tripp earned his AB in Politics from Princeton University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Adam Carson is a member of the Point72 Ventures FinTech team, based out of San Francisco. Adam is responsible for expanding the Fintech team to the west coast.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Adam held positions at Morgan Stanley, Bain & Company, and eBay. Most recently, he was the Head of Digital/FinTech Strategy and Partnerships at JPMorgan Chase.
Adam earned his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, and his MBA from Tuck School of Business. He is originally from Merion, Pennsylvania.
Anup Chamrajnagar is a member of the Investment Team at Point72 Ventures.
He joins Point72 Ventures from the Point72 Academy, the Firm’s year-long training program, where he rotated through various long/short teams covering public companies in the technology and healthcare spaces. Prior to joining Point72, Anup worked in the healthcare space at TAP Advisors and at Ferghana Partners.
Anup earned his B.A. in Mathematics and Theater from Dartmouth College. While in school, he was the President of the Dartmouth Brovertones A Cappella Group, the Lead Researcher at Dartmouth Fu Labs, the Co-Founder and President of the Dartmouth Computational Mathematics Society, and the Treasurer of D-Style, Dartmouth’s freestyle rap performance group.
Anup is originally from Tacoma, Washington and enjoys singing, songwriting, tennis, soccer, and hiking.
Prior to joining Point72, Florie worked as an Executive Assistant at various hedge funds, including FrontPoint Partners LP. Florie works from our New York and Connecticut offices.
Florie earned her AB in Psychology from Iona College.
Travis Foxhall is a member of the Operating Team at Point72 Ventures, working with portfolio companies to optimize their outcomes, with a focus on capital raising and exit strategy. In this capacity, he regularly engages with investors targeting the fintech sector, as well as supporting deal sourcing and thematic research.
Before joining Point72 Ventures, Travis was Chief of Staff at Neon, a leading digital bank in Brazil, where he worked with senior management on corporate strategy, business development, and fundraising initiatives. Prior to that, he was a venture investor with Quona Capital, where he focused on fintech startups in emerging markets. Travis began his career in corporate strategy roles at JPMorgan Chase and Thomson Reuters.
Travis earned his BA from Yale University. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish and is not afraid to embarrass himself in Mandarin.
Azhar Hussain is a member of the Investment team at Point72 Ventures. In this role, he invests in financial technology businesses attempting to solve a broad range of problems faced by enterprise and consumer clients.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Azhar was a Business Operations Associate at Arcus, a payment-as-a-service fintech startup, where he worked with the CEO and COO on strategic initiatives across the finance, sales, and customer success teams. Azhar started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Financial Institutions Group covering fintech companies.
Azhar graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Dartmouth College. He is originally from Dallas, Texas.
Whittney Levitt is a member of the Operating team at Point72 Ventures, working with portfolio companies to optimize their outcomes. In this capacity, she advises the executive teams of the fintech portfolio on key strategic initiatives while regularly engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, and financial services professionals to help their companies grow and solve the strategic business challenges they are facing.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Whittney spent seven years at JPMorgan Chase with experience across the Strategic Investments and Corporate Strategy groups, focused on partnerships, potential acquisitions, and go-to-market strategies for new digital products. In her most recent role, she helped stand up Chase’s Marketing Innovation Lab, where she worked on building out new customer facing products and experiences to drive increased customer acquisition via financial health and gamification mechanics.
Whittney earned her B.S.B.A in Finance from Elon University. She is originally from Miami, Florida.
Dave Matter is an Operating Partner on Point72 Ventures’ FinTech team, supporting investment activities and portfolio companies in financial services technology. He is based in San Francisco.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Dave was the Chief Product Officer at Marqeta, a global payment card issuing platform, where he helped lead the product and business as it grew into a multi-billion dollar company serving some of the best brands in the world. Previously, Dave held product and technology leadership roles in investments and mortgages with Citadel Investment Group and Quicken Loans as well as digital banking pioneer ING Direct.
Dave is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and cooking. He studied Business Computer Information Systems at St. Cloud State University.
Sunny Parikh is an Operating Partner at Point72 Ventures, focusing on investments, portfolio company growth, and network expansion. In this role, he regularly engages with executives at leading financial institutions and financial technology companies to identify industry trends and themes as well as providing collaboration opportunities between FIs and fintechs.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Sunny was Senior Vice President at the Partnership Fund for NYC and led the Fintech Innovation Lab. In that capacity, he brought together over 40 financial institutions annually to partner with fintech and insurtech companies solving common challenges. Prior to joining Partnership Fund for NYC, Sunny led business development at RedVision, a real estate technology company.
Previously, Sunny was part of the investment team at Updata Partners, focusing on growth-equity technology companies. Sunny began his career as an Investment Banker at ThinkEquity Partners.
Sunny earned his B.S. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
