Whittney Levitt is an Operating Partner at Point72 Ventures, working with portfolio companies to optimize their outcomes. In this capacity, she advises the executive teams of our fintech-focused portfolio companies on key strategic initiatives, regularly engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, and financial services professionals to help their companies grow and solve the challenges they are facing. 

Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Whittney spent seven years at JPMorgan Chase with experience across the Strategic Investments and Corporate Strategy groups, focused on partnerships, potential acquisitions, and go-to-market strategies for new digital products. In her most recent role, she helped stand up Chase’s Marketing Innovation Lab, where she worked on building out new customer facing products and experiences to drive increased customer acquisition via financial health and gamification mechanics. 

I have years of experience understanding how large financial institutions are structured.

I understand the pain points they face, how they explore, build, buy and/ or partner opportunities, and I get the tug and pull of risk versus innovation that they must weigh.  

Fintechs are exposing the lack of products for the unbanked and underbanked.

Legacy providers have traditionally focused on the highly profitable segments of the customer base, leaving a long tail of underserved customers. Fintechs are successfully targeting these segments, with the aim of moving upstream into legacy providers’ core customer base. New technology – like decentralized finance – is creating an even more fragmented landscape.

Plus, finding new Bordeaux wines that stretch the limits on what’s considered “dry,” and blending new flavors for homemade beef jerky.
