Some of the best opportunities are found in overlooked markets.

My experience living and investing in emerging markets has taught me that some of the best startups come from geographies or sectors that have been historically misunderstood.

Thematic research is core to our investment process.

In order to better understand a market opportunity, I like to spend time speaking with the people who live and breathe that market — especially potential customers — to gain perspective on their pain points. This listening process guides me to entrepreneurs solving some of the financial industry’s top problems.

Entrepreneurship is a team sport.

Building a business from scratch is no easy feat, and entrepreneurs shouldn’t have to brave it alone. When it comes to working with our portfolio companies, I’m always ready to roll up my sleeves and help get things done.

I love to experience new places and cultures.

I’ve studied Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro, Spanish in Madrid, and Mandarin in Beijing.
