Dave Matter is an Advisor to Point72 Ventures, supporting certain investment activities through scouting, diligence and additional value creation. He represents Point72 as a board member for certain portfolio companies including Abound, Productfy and LISNR and was previously an Operating Partner on the Point72 Ventures team, adding to his extensive experience in the financial services technology space.

Prior to his role at Point72 Ventures, Dave was the Chief Product Officer at Marqeta, a global payment card issuing platform, where he helped lead the product and business as it grew into a multi-billion-dollar company, serving some of the best brands in the world. Previously, Dave held product and technology leadership roles in investments and mortgages with Citadel Investment Group, Quicken Loans, and digital banking pioneer ING Direct.

I’ve worked in almost every corner of fintech – digital banking and lending, mortgage origination and sourcing, D2C student lending, asset management, card issuing, and payment processing — and that was the through line in every area.
